After my last 'daily' including the letter from Franklin Graham, I was astounded to find the following in my inbox this morning. It was sent to me from a Christian 'Newsletter' to which I subscribe and not from an individual. I have a dear friend who has always told me that Dr. Jeremiah was amazing - how he can put his finger on the 'pulse' of everything going on in society. It's another interesting article. It, too, is 'food for thought'.

CULTURE AT THE CROSSROADS

American culture is circling the drain faster and faster, but most of us are too caught up in the frenetic pace of our lives to notice the dramatic changes that have sent our country spinning out of control.

In this cynical age of situational ethics, when atheists are shaking their fists at God, Jesus is the butt of crude jokes, the Bible is treated no better than a coffee table book of trite proverbs, and "war" and "marriage" are being redefined daily, it comes as no surprise that Christians aren't sure how they can live faithfully amid such pervasive spiritual decay.

What can we do before our society's moldering framework succumbs to the suction of the roaring moral vacuum that we've ignored for too long?

I have been studying the dramatic cultural and social changes of the past few years from a biblical perspective, and how these changes have contributed to the deteriorating moral and spiritual climate Americans find themselves in today, and what Christians can do to reverse society’s treacherous slide.

With our world's culture at a crossroads, we can point the way ... and lovingly guide our world toward a connection with God.

May our Lord help us as we stand together ... and pray together ... to reclaim our culture for His Kingdom!
